Important limitations concerning website information, training, certification and professional use

Effective Date: 10 July 2026   |   Last Updated: 10 July 2026

1. General purpose

The Website and IIAM educational material are intended to describe professional training opportunities and provide general academic information. They should be read in context and together with the relevant Programme Confirmation, Admissions & Enrolment Terms and Refund & Cancellation Policy.

2. Intended professional audience

IIAM’s principal audience is dermatologists and other qualified doctors. Access to the Website does not establish that a person is eligible for a Programme or legally authorised to perform any clinical procedure. Eligibility and professional scope must be separately assessed.

3. Not patient-specific medical advice

Articles, videos, course descriptions, examples and other Website Content are educational and are not patient-specific medical advice, diagnosis, prescription or treatment. Patients and members of the public should consult an appropriately qualified registered medical professional and should use emergency services where urgent care is required.

4. Independent professional responsibility

Clinical practice remains the independent responsibility of the doctor concerned. A Participant must comply with the law, professional ethics, registration requirements, informed-consent standards, facility requirements, infection-control measures, emergency preparedness, manufacturer instructions and the limits of personal competence applicable to the jurisdiction in which the doctor practises.

Participation in an IIAM Programme does not transfer responsibility for a Participant’s later patient selection, diagnosis, treatment decision, procedure, prescription, complication management, advertising or documentation to IIAM or its faculty.

5. Programme titles and certificate status

The use of a title such as “Fellowship”, “Advanced Course”, “Workshop” or “Certificate” describes IIAM’s educational offering and does not, by itself, mean that the Programme is a university degree, an NMC-recognised postgraduate qualification, a specialist registration, a statutory licence, or an affiliation or accreditation by any authority. No additional recognition, equivalence or affiliation should be assumed unless expressly documented.

6. No automatic authority to perform procedures

Completion of a Programme does not automatically create a legal right, licence or independent competence to perform every topic or procedure discussed. Participants must evaluate whether a procedure falls within their existing qualification, registration, lawful scope, training, supervised experience and facility capability.

7. Curriculum and practical exposure

Published curricula describe intended subject areas and may be refined for academic, safety, scheduling or availability reasons. Unless a written Programme Confirmation expressly guarantees otherwise, the inclusion of a topic does not guarantee that every Participant will personally perform that procedure.

The nature and extent of observation, demonstration, assisted participation or supervised hands-on exposure may depend on patient or model suitability, valid consent, case availability, group size, faculty judgement, equipment, consumables, clinical indication, participant readiness and safety. Faculty may decline or limit participation where clinically or ethically appropriate.

8. Focused Clinical Workshops

A Focused Clinical Workshop is limited to the subject, duration and format stated in its written confirmation. A workshop on PRP, trichology or another selected topic should not be interpreted as comprehensive specialty training or as coverage of every related indication, device, technique or complication.

9. No guarantee of professional or commercial outcome

IIAM does not guarantee employment, placement, income, clinic revenue, patient volume, business success, franchise rights, regulatory recognition, insurance acceptance, mastery of every technique, or any particular clinical outcome. Results depend on factors outside IIAM’s control, including the Participant’s prior background, attendance, practice, judgement, facility, local law and patient factors.

10. Testimonials, photographs and examples

Testimonials and participant feedback describe individual experiences and are not a promise that every Participant will have the same experience or outcome. Clinical photographs, diagrams, case discussions and examples may be selected for educational illustration and should not be interpreted as guaranteed results.

Where before-and-after images or case material are displayed, they must be used with appropriate authority and should be interpreted in light of individual variation, treatment plan, follow-up and limitations.

11. Faculty and third-party views

Educational opinions may evolve with evidence, technology, regulation and clinical practice. A guest faculty member’s view is not necessarily an institutional endorsement of every product, brand, device or technique mentioned. Product names, where used, may be illustrative and do not replace independent evaluation or manufacturer instructions.

12. External resources and technology

IIAM may link to or use third-party websites, software, payment systems, maps, video platforms or learning tools. IIAM does not control independently operated third-party content, uptime, privacy or security. Users should review the third party’s terms and exercise appropriate caution.

13. Errors, changes and availability

Reasonable care is taken in preparing Website information; however, errors, omissions or outdated details may occur. IIAM may correct Content and may change dates, faculty, venue, mode, equipment or curriculum sequence in accordance with the Admissions & Enrolment Terms. Material changes affecting a confirmed Participant will be communicated through official channels.

14. Liability and statutory rights

To the extent permitted by law, IIAM is not responsible for loss caused by a person treating general educational information as patient-specific advice, practising outside lawful competence, ignoring safety guidance, or relying on an unauthorised third-party representation.

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability or a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a specific statement on the Website or in an admission communication is materially inaccurate, the matter will be addressed according to the applicable contract, policy and law rather than by this Disclaimer being used to defeat a mandatory right.

15. Clarification contact

A prospective Applicant who needs clarity about eligibility, certificate status, programme scope, practical exposure, fees or format should obtain written clarification before payment by contacting [email protected].
