ADMISSIONS & ENROLMENT TERMS

Contractual terms for application, admission, payment, participation and certification

Effective Date: 10 July 2026   |   Last Updated: 10 July 2026

1. Parties and contractual documents

These Admissions & Enrolment Terms (“Enrolment Terms”) form an agreement between “IIAM” and the person applying for or enrolling in an IIAM Programme (“Applicant” or, after confirmation, “Participant”).

The agreement consists of:

  • these Enrolment Terms;
  • the Programme Confirmation and fee schedule issued by IIAM;
  • the Refund & Cancellation Policy;
  • the Privacy Policy;
  • the Disclaimer;
  • any programme-specific declaration, consent or code of conduct accepted before commencement.

In case of inconsistency, a later, specific Programme Confirmation ordinarily prevails over general Website information for that enrolment; however, it does not override mandatory law or an expressly preserved right in these Enrolment Terms.

2. Electronic acceptance

An Applicant may accept these Enrolment Terms by signing an application, selecting an unticked acceptance checkbox, making a payment after the Terms are presented, or otherwise giving clear electronic acceptance. IIAM may retain the accepted version, timestamp, application identifier and payment record as evidence of the transaction.

3. Programme-specific information

Before confirmation, IIAM will identify the Programme name, intended scope, eligibility, mode, approximate duration, expected start date or batch, location where applicable, fee, taxes, payment schedule and certificate description. The Programme Confirmation should also identify any material inclusion or exclusion, such as kits, consumables, travel, accommodation, models, online access or assessment.

4. Eligibility

IIAM Programmes are intended for dermatologists and/or other qualified doctors who meet the requirements stated for the selected Programme.

Eligibility may include a recognised medical qualification, valid professional registration, identity documentation, relevant clinical background and any additional prerequisite disclosed for the Programme. Participation in a clinical component may be limited where the Applicant’s qualification, registration, competence or applicable law does not permit the intended activity.

5. Application information and verification

Applicants must provide complete, current and authentic information. IIAM may verify qualifications, registration, identity and documents with the issuing body, regulator or publicly available professional register where reasonably necessary.

IIAM may reject, suspend or cancel admission where information is materially false, forged, misleading, incomplete or concealed. Before adverse action, IIAM may seek clarification where appropriate. Financial consequences will be determined under the Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable law.

6. Application, provisional offer and admission confirmation

An enquiry or application does not guarantee admission. IIAM may issue a provisional offer subject to document verification, payment, seat availability or another stated condition. Admission is confirmed only when IIAM communicates confirmation through an official channel after the required conditions are met.

IIAM may decline an application for eligibility, capacity, safety, professional, academic or administrative reasons. Where appropriate, IIAM may recommend a more suitable Programme without representing that the alternative confers the same scope or outcome.

7. Fees, taxes and instalments

The Participant must pay the fees, GST and other disclosed charges according to the Programme Confirmation. An installment arrangement does not divide the Programme into separately cancellable units unless expressly stated. Failure to pay an instalment by its due date may lead to suspension of access, withholding of attendance or certification, late charges or cancellation after reasonable notice.

Receipts and tax invoices will be issued by IIAM. Applicants should verify the payee name and should not transfer money to an unofficial account or intermediary.

8. Programme commencement and attendance

The Programme Start Date is the first mandatory activity identified in the Programme Confirmation. Participants are responsible for attending punctually and for arranging travel, accommodation, leave, devices and internet access unless expressly included.

Minimum attendance requirement: 90%. Attendance may be recorded through in-person registers, digital logs, assessments or other reasonable methods. Missed sessions are not automatically repeated and do not create a refund right.

9. Programme delivery and academic changes

IIAM may organise delivery through in-person teaching, online sessions, demonstrations, case discussions, supervised practical exposure, self-learning material, assignments or other stated methods. IIAM may make reasonable changes to faculty, sequencing, timing, venue, platform, equipment or learning method to maintain academic quality, safety and continuity.

IIAM will not materially reduce the essential scope promised in the Programme Confirmation without communication and an appropriate alternative, replacement, credit or proportionate remedy where warranted.

10. Faculty

IIAM may appoint, replace or add faculty based on subject expertise, availability and programme requirements. The presence of a named faculty member may be changed because of illness, emergency, scheduling or academic need unless the Programme was expressly sold as a one-to-one engagement with that individual.

11. Curriculum and educational material

Curricula reflect the academic plan at the time of publication and may be updated in response to evidence, technology, safety, regulation, device availability or faculty judgement. A topic heading may include lecture, discussion, demonstration, observation or practical orientation and does not necessarily mean independent hands-on performance by every Participant.

12. Practical, clinical and patient/model exposure

Practical exposure is governed by patient or model welfare, informed consent, clinical indication, privacy, faculty approval and Participant readiness. The nature and extent of participation may vary between cases and Participants.

Unless expressly guaranteed in writing, IIAM does not promise that every listed procedure will be available on a live patient/model, that every Participant will personally perform every procedure, or that a particular diagnosis or case will be present during a contact session.

Faculty may restrict a Participant to observation or assisted activity where required by qualification, competence, patient consent, safety, group logistics or applicable law. A Participant must immediately follow instructions relating to asepsis, personal protective equipment, sharps, devices, medication, emergencies and waste disposal.

13. Participant’s professional scope

Training is educational. Each Participant remains responsible for determining whether and how a subject may lawfully and ethically be incorporated into the Participant’s practice. IIAM does not authorise a Participant to practise outside existing qualification, registration, competence, facility permissions or jurisdictional requirements.

A Participant must obtain further supervised experience where necessary and must not represent course attendance as a statutory specialist qualification, licence or authority that it is not.

14. Certificate and completion requirements

The certificate will be issued by Indian Institute of Aesthetic Medicine, and duly signed by Founder Director – Dr. L.K. Desai, MD Dermatology, and will be described as Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine, or as applicable. The use of the term “Fellowship” is the Programme nomenclature and does not by itself represent a university degree, NMC-recognised postgraduate qualification, specialist registration or statutory credential.

Certification requires recommended attendance and assignments, full payment, compliance with conduct and any other stated completion requirement. IIAM may withhold a certificate until these are satisfied and may issue a participation certificate where the full completion standard is not met, if that option is adopted.

A certificate records educational completion only. It does not guarantee employment, insurance recognition, regulatory approval, professional competence in every technique or a right to use IIAM’s logo or claim an ongoing association.

15. Assessment and academic integrity

Participants must complete assessments honestly and must not plagiarise, impersonate another person, share answers, falsify attendance or submit work produced by an unauthorised third party. IIAM may require re-assessment, withhold certification or take disciplinary action for academic misconduct.

16. Participant conduct

Participants must behave professionally toward faculty, staff, other learners, patients and models. Prohibited conduct includes harassment, discrimination, threats, intoxication, disruption, unsafe activity, unauthorised clinical intervention, solicitation of patients, unauthorised promotion, property damage and conduct that materially harms the learning environment or institute reputation.

IIAM may give a warning, restrict a practical activity, remove a Participant from a session, suspend access or terminate enrolment depending on seriousness and urgency. Where practicable, the Participant will be informed of the concern and given an opportunity to respond.

17. Patient and model confidentiality

Participants must protect all patient/model information encountered during training. They must not photograph, record, identify, contact, solicit, copy records, publish a case or retain patient/model data without specific authority and valid consent. Confidentiality continues after the Programme ends.

A Participant who is authorised to use de-identified case information must still comply with applicable privacy, ethical and institutional requirements. General consent to attend a Programme is not consent to use a patient/model image in the Participant’s marketing.

18. Photography, recordings and media consent

Participants may not audio-record, video-record, photograph, livestream or screen-record teaching, patients/models, faculty, slides or practical sessions unless IIAM expressly permits it.

IIAM may take routine administrative or classroom documentation where disclosed. Public promotional use of an identifiable Participant’s image, voice or testimonial should be based on separate, specific consent. Refusal of optional promotional consent will not affect admission or academic treatment.

19. Intellectual property and learning access

Programme manuals, presentations, recordings, protocols, photographs, question banks, platform content and teaching material are owned by or licensed to IIAM. A Participant receives a limited, personal, non-transferable licence for private learning during the stated access period.

Participants must not share logins, copy, sell, upload, translate, distribute, teach from, commercially adapt or use IIAM material to create a competing course. IIAM may suspend access where sharing or infringement is reasonably suspected.

20. Online learning and technology

Participants are responsible for a compatible device, stable internet connection, current software and a private environment suitable for learning. IIAM will take reasonable steps to provide access but is not responsible for a Participant’s local connectivity, device failure or platform issue outside IIAM’s reasonable control.

Planned maintenance or temporary interruption will be addressed by restoration, extension, alternative access or rescheduling where reasonably necessary.

21. Safety and health information

A Participant must disclose to IIAM, confidentially and only to the extent necessary, any condition or restriction that may materially affect safe participation in a practical activity. IIAM may make reasonable adjustments where feasible but may restrict participation where safety cannot otherwise be protected.

Participants must maintain appropriate professional indemnity or other insurance if required for their own practice or by a specific Programme.

22. Travel, accommodation and personal property

Unless expressly included, Participants are responsible for travel, accommodation, meals, visa, local transport and personal expenses. IIAM is not responsible for personal property left at a venue, except to the extent loss is caused by IIAM’s proven fault and liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

23. Cancellation, refund, transfer and deferment

Cancellations, refunds, substitutions, deferments and Programme changes are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy and any disclosed Programme-specific term. A Participant should not assume that non-attendance, a change of mind, travel difficulty or inability to secure leave creates an automatic refund.

24. Suspension and termination

IIAM may suspend or terminate enrolment for material non-payment, false or forged credentials, serious misconduct, patient-confidentiality breach, unsafe conduct, academic dishonesty, unauthorised recording, intellectual-property infringement, account sharing or unlawful activity.

Termination does not automatically create a refund. IIAM will apply the Refund & Cancellation Policy, consider the Programme already delivered and actual committed costs, and preserve any right or remedy required by law.

25. No placement, income or outcome guarantee

IIAM does not guarantee employment, placement, patient flow, clinic income, business success, franchise rights, a particular level of competence, a specific clinical result or recognition by an employer, insurer, authority or other institution. Participants remain responsible for professional development and lawful implementation.

26. Privacy and records

IIAM will process personal data for enquiry, eligibility verification, enrolment, payment, programme administration, assessment, certification, security and legal compliance in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Participants must keep contact information current.

IIAM may retain minimum completion and certificate-verification records for long-term verification, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

27. Communications and notices

Official communication may be sent to the email address, telephone number or WhatsApp number supplied by the Applicant. The Applicant must notify IIAM of changes. A message sent to the registered contact will be treated as delivered when ordinarily transmitted, unless IIAM receives a failure notice or law requires another method.

Applicants should rely only on communications from [email protected] or the official phone number provided on this website or another channel expressly designated by IIAM.

28. Complaints and grievance process

A Participant should first raise an academic or administrative concern with course faculty. A formal grievance may be sent to the official email id, with the Participant name, Programme, batch and concise details.

IIAM will acknowledge a complete grievance within 15 Working Days and aim to provide a reasoned response within 30 Working Days, subject to the complexity of the matter. This process does not remove a remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

29. Force majeure

IIAM is not in breach for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disaster, epidemic, government restriction, civil disturbance, strike, transport interruption, utility failure, cyber incident, faculty medical emergency or venue closure. IIAM may reschedule, relocate, substitute faculty, change mode or provide an equivalent alternative, with refunds or credits governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

30. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, IIAM is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, independent travel or accommodation commitments, a Participant’s later clinical or business decisions, local device/internet failures, or loss caused by the Participant’s breach of law, safety instruction or professional duty.

Nothing in these Enrolment Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, material misleading representation, breach of a mandatory statutory obligation, or another liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

31. Indemnity

A Participant is responsible for direct loss reasonably caused by the Participant’s unlawful act, deliberate false credential, confidentiality breach, unauthorised clinical act, intellectual-property infringement, malicious system use or third-party-rights violation. This clause is limited to loss caused by the Participant and does not impose liability for IIAM’s own fault.

32. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Enrolment Terms are governed by the laws of India. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution through the grievance process. Subject to any forum or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, courts at Pune, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction.

33. Entire agreement, changes and severability

The contractual documents listed in clause 1 constitute the agreement relating to the selected Programme and supersede informal representations that are not included or confirmed in writing. A change is effective only if communicated by an authorised IIAM representative and, where it materially changes a confirmed obligation, handled consistently with applicable law and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

If one provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent legally possible. Failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver.
